Terms of Service

Effective date: March 9, 2026

Welcome to Snug Planner ("Snug", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our web application at snugplanner.com, our Android mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account Registration

To use Snug, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, and a password. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information.
  • Keeping your password secure and confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Parents or guardians may add children as family members under their supervision.

2. Families and Shared Content

Snug allows you to create families and invite members. When you create content (tasks, appointments, projects, recipes, files, etc.) within a family, all members of that family can view and interact with that content.

As a family owner, you are responsible for managing invitations and membership. You can remove members from your family at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Upload files that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Use the file storage for purposes unrelated to family organization (e.g., hosting a public website, distributing commercial content).
  • Create accounts through automated means.
  • Share your account credentials with others.

4. Your Content and Files

You retain ownership of all content you create and files you upload in Snug. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your family members.

We do not access, review, or use your content for advertising or any purpose other than operating the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any files or content you add to the Service.

5. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to connect Google Calendar to Snug:

  • You authorize Snug to access your Google Calendar data via OAuth 2.0.
  • Snug only accesses calendar event data — no other Google services or data.
  • You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the calendar page.
  • Disconnecting immediately revokes Snug's access to your Google Calendar data.

6. Pricing and Subscriptions

Snug requires an active subscription after the free trial period.

Free trial

New families receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Snug Plus — $4.99/month or $44.99/year

After the trial, a Snug Plus subscription is required to continue using the Service. Snug Plus is billed per family and includes all features: shared calendar, tasks and chores, projects, recurring tasks and appointments, recipes, shopping lists, budget tracking, family files, notes, Google Calendar sync, reminders, and more.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your credit card or bank details.

Subscription management

Subscriptions are managed by the family owner. Only the family owner can start, change, or cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed per family, not per user.

Expired subscription

If you cancel or do not subscribe after your trial ends, your data becomes read-only. Your data is preserved — we never delete data due to an expired subscription. You can subscribe at any time to regain full access.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Snug Plus subscription at any time through the billing settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access to Plus features until the end of your current billing period.
  • After that, your data becomes read-only until you resubscribe.
  • Your data is never deleted.

We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will review your case.

8. Referral Program

Snug offers a referral program that allows family owners to earn commissions by referring new families to the Service.

  • Eligibility: Any family owner can participate in the referral program.
  • Commission: You earn $1.00 per month for each referred family that maintains an active paid Snug Plus subscription. Commissions are calculated monthly based on the referred family's payment status.
  • Referral links: Each participant receives a unique referral link. You may share this link freely but may not use misleading, spammy, or deceptive methods to promote it.
  • Payouts: Commissions accumulate and are paid out at our discretion. We will contact you at your registered email address to arrange payouts.
  • No self-referrals: You may not refer your own families or create accounts solely to generate referral commissions.
  • Program changes: We reserve the right to modify commission rates, payout terms, or discontinue the referral program at any time. We will notify participants of material changes via email.
  • Termination: We may suspend or revoke your referral privileges if we detect abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep Snug available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snug and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, missed appointments, or failed reminders. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal data and uploaded files will be removed within 30 days.
  • Content you created in shared families may remain visible to other family members.
  • If you are a family owner, ownership must be transferred before deletion.
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled automatically.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data unless the violation involves illegal activity or poses a security risk.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. For material changes (such as pricing changes), we will also notify you via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Belgium.
